Most humans think of the book series when they listen the phrase Pretty Little Liars, and they wouldn’t be wrong. The books introduced this intriguing story to the public, but it wasn’t intended that way.
Originally, Alloy Entertainment, even altho they themselves are a book packaging company, had to trade the rights to what was in the first place intended as a TV show to author Sara Shepard in 2006, and only after the whole series had gone to print, did it find the popularity that it necessitated to make it’s way onto TV. It was written and published by HarperTeen amid 2006 and 2010, and the books, in order, were Pretty Little Liars, Flawless, Perfect, Unbelievable and Wicked.
In response to their success, the story in it’s basi form (TV script) was picked up by ABC Family for a 10-episode primary season, which was again, due to the success of the show, promptly extended another 12 sequences to round off the 22-episode introductory season.
The story itself is a simple one (for those intimate with the genre of teen drama, at least), and revolves around a clique of girls who’s friendship fell isolated when their leader, if you will, disappeared mysteriously. Her name was Alison, and when the girls begin receiving messages from somebody calling herself “A”, and when those messages start out threatening to expose their darkest mysteries (the ones they thought only Alison knew), things begin to heat up.
While the critical reviews were mixed (the show isn’t purposed at delighting them, after all, but rather 12-16 year-old girls) the show cleaned up at this year’s Teen Choice Awards.

About the Author
Sara Shepard’s primary story ever, which she both wrote and illustrated, was with regards to friendly yellow creatures that lived in a backyard garden. It won second prize at the State College, Pennsylvania, library, and was bound and placed on the shelf. (The binding was yellow. The book was called Quizzles. Maybe it’s still there!) Sara Shepard’s second story was with regards to a five-legged camel named Lloyd and his band of friends traveling through the humane circulative system.
When Shepard was young, the things she wanted to be when she grew up were a soap opera star, a architect for LEGO, a Claymation artist, a geneticist, a fashion magazine editor, and, most of all, a writer. She grew up in Pennyslvania, on Philadelphia’s Main Line, and went to college at New York University in 1995, the height of the club kid era. While in college, she purchased a lot of pairs of purple vinyl pants, earsplitting leather jackets, brightly colored club kid sneakers, and even a Day-Glo pacifier. After recovering from that ominous but short-lived phase, she had a series of jobs— interning at Elle magazine, filing primary documents at J.P. Morgan, and writing and editing at Time Inc. At each of these jobs, she kept a distinguished folder on her computer of stories she wrote when she had free time. Eventually, she got an MFA at Brooklyn College, started receiving evil text messages from somebody only known as A, almost got run over by her best friend’s SUV, and held thinking she saw dead people everywhere.
Actually, that last percentage didn’t happen. But Shepard did have all these ideas when preparing for her young adult series, Pretty Little Liars. It’s now five books strong—the sixth in the series, Killer, is out in June 2009. She’s likewise the author of an adult novel, The Visibles, which is out in May 2009, as well as the reluctant parent of three slobbery dogs. She and her sister, Alison, have also been creating a lot of joint originative projects for years (Claymation movies, art installations, video game designs) based on a world they made up when they were 6 and 9 years old. They’re gorgeous sure they’re the only ones who find the world funny, though.

Courtesy of Teens Read Too By TeensReadToo Ian Thomas is in jail awaiting trial and the girls are able to relax and return to their lives. Or can they??? Just when the reader thought that the mystery of A has been solved at the end of UNBELIEVABLE, more bizarre events await the girls of Rosewood.
